Our Pastor

Bro. Doug moved to Bryan to pastor at Fellowship from Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. He had been the pastor of Flatwoods Free Will Baptist Church for over nine years. Prior to the pastorate in Tennessee he was the youth minister / associate pastor here at Fellowship. He is originally from Florence, Alabama. His wife (Sharon) is originally from Bryan, Texas and from the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church. Bro. Doug had been a youth pastor for about ten years with churches in Texas, Alabama, and Oklahoma.

Bro. Doug graduated from Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College in Moore, Oklahoma in 1994. He has served on the Board of Trustees for Hillsdale for about 4 years. It was at Hillsdale as students that he and Sharon met and fell in love. They were married here at Fellowship by Wes Bigelow on December 19,1992. They have three children: Alex, Danielle, and Elizabeth.

Bro. Doug serves as the Moderator for the Central Texas District Association of Free Will Baptist and as the State Clerk for Texas Free Will Baptist. Sharon serves as the District President of CTDWAC (Women Active for Christ) and State Vice President of TWAC. They both also serve with the local Bryan public recreational soccer league. Their passion is to serve the Lord and build His church here at Fellowship FWB Church in Bryan Texas.

Bro. Marcus Brewer

Bro. Marcus Brewer was born and grew up in Topeka, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1998 (Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!) and moved to College Station to attend graduate school at Texas A&M University, where he has a Master of Science in Civil Engineering (Class of ’99) and is currently a Ph.D. student in the same major. 

Marcus assumed the Minister of Music role at Fellowship in the summer of 1999.  In that role, Marcus coordinates the order of services, the worship music, and the special music schedule and accompaniment schedule for each service.  Marcus also currently serves as the church treasurer and teaches adult Bible study classes on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening. 

In other church-related ministries, Marcus serves as the Moderator and State Office Coordinator (promotional director) for the Texas State Association of Free Will Baptists, in the former role since 2014 and the latter since 2004.  He led the Steering Committee in 2014 when Texas hosted the National Association of Free Will Baptists annual convention in Ft. Worth.  Marcus is also involved with the Central Texas District of Free Will Baptists in periodic roles on regular committees, and he has been part of the National Youth Conference high school Bible competitions as a judge and/or quizmaster since 1995.
